Super-Sized Granola Recipe

Maybe you have an army to feed, or you just really enjoy granola - in either case this is the granola recipe for you. Like other granola recipes which deliver important vitamins and nutrients, this granola recipe provides your body with many important nutrients to keep it strong and healthy. There is plenty of protein in the nuts and oats of this granola recipe. The proteins in this recipe are important to satisfy the body's need for amino acids, some of which cannot be synthesized by the body. As a result, we must ingest protein in order to maintain healthy active lifestyles. This granola recipe packs plenty of protein in the oats, almonds, sunflower seeds, and almonds, so your body will be able to assemble the polypeptide chains it needs to function properly. The protein in this granola recipe will keep your energy up, and combined with the fiber, and manny other nutrients, will keep your energy up all day, as well as helping you maintain a healthly, active body.

Granola Recipe Ingredients:

  • 24 cups rolled oats
  • 2 1/2 cups almonds, sliced and toasted
  • 2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups sunflower seeds
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut, flaked
  • 1 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp salt

Granola Recipe Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  2. Combine oil, honey, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla in medium saucepan on low heat
  3. Stir until brown sugar melts
  4. In large bowl combine sunflower seeds, 1 cup coconut, almonds, and oats
  5. Pour liquid mixture over dry mixture, stirring thoroughly
  6. Spread evenly onto baking pans
  7. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
  8. Remove from oven
  9. Stir in raisins and remaining 1/2 cup coconut
  10. Allow to cool
