Malt Almond Granola Recipe

There are not many granola recipes out there calling for malt syrup. It gives this granola recipe a bit of added kick, and some variety to many of the granola recipes you find. It is unlikely that you will find another granola recipe that can roll together the amazing nutrition you expect in granola, yet deliver a taste which is nothing short of remarkable. Of course, as with other granola recipes, this recipe is totally customizable, so you can add more of the ingredients you like the most, and back off on the ones you do not care for.

Makes: 15 cups

Granola Recipe Ingredients:

  • 4 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 3 cups sliced almonds
  • 3 cups sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup safflower oil
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup malt syrup extract
  • 1 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tbsp almond extract
  • pinch of ground cloves

Granola Recipe Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  2. In large bowl mix oats, seeds, nuts, cinnamon, and cloves
  3. Heat syrup, vanilla, oil, and almond extract
  4. Pour liquid mixture over dry mixture, mixing thoroughly
  5. Spread evenly onto two 9x12-inch pans for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden
  6. Allow to cool
