Dee's Cereal Hearty Granola Recipe
There is not much like a good, healthy granola recipe. This granola recipe is a favorite around my house, and its healthy all at the same time. Use oatmeal or rolled oats if you don't have any "Dee's Cereal" around, but use "Dee's Cereal" if possible. You won't regret it when you enjoy the crunchy goodness of this healthy, delicious granola recipe. The crunch gives this granola a taste that both young and old are sure to enjoy, and it keeps youngsters healthy and energized, giving them vitamins and minerals that growing bodies need, while providing adults with the fiber and nutrition that keeps them feeling young. This granola recipe is easy to make, and is sure to delight the taste buds.

Granola Recipe Ingredients:
- 6 1/2 cups Dee's Cereal (If you're out of "Dee's Cereal" try oatmeal instead)
- 3 cups Rice Crispies
- 1 1/4 cup Dark Brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup chopped fruits (as desired)
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup coconut, shredded
- 1/2 cup dried banana chips
- 1/2 cup cashews, chopped
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (optional)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp pure maple flavoring
Granola Recipe Directions:
- Combine Dee's Cereal, coconut, banana, cashews, and rice crispies in large bowl
- combine cinnamon, nutmeg, butter, extract, and brown sugar in a bowl and mix well
- Mix in applesauce and peanut butter, salt, black pepper.
- Combine contents of both bowls, mixing well
- Spread evenly on large baking sheed
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes until golden brown, stirring occasionally
- Remove from oven and add dried chopped fruits as desired
- Allow to cool
