Date Granola Recipe

Granola Recipe Directions:
- 8 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup dates, chopped
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 2 cups shredded coconut
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed
Granola Recipe Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- combine dates and water in saucepan over medium heat
- Stir periodically until mixture forms thick paste
- Remove from heat and set aside
- mix oats, raisins, wheat germ, walnuts, sunflower seeds, and coconut in large bowl
- Spread evenly onto baking sheet
- Bake for 7 minutes, until golden
- Place mixture back in bowl, and mix in date paste, oil, and apple juice concentrate
- Spread mixture evenly on baking sheet
- Bake an additional 7 to 10 minutes, stirring as necessary, until golden brown
- Allow to cool
